As part of their information about the Amarok, VW touched on its off-road capability.
- Water fording depth - 800 mm (31.4 inches). Previously 500 mm (19.6 inches)
- Front angle approach - 29 degrees
- Rear angle approach - 21 degrees
- Ramp angle between the axles - 21 degrees
